On Feb. 19, 2024, a CERN delegation led by Prof. Dr. Joachim Mnich ( CERN’s Director for Research and Scientific Computing ) visited Department For Experimental Particle Physics at Jozef Stefan Institute and Laboratory for Photon Detector Development, where we study photo sensors for the PetVision project. We showed them current setups and examples of technology transfer of HEP instrumentation knowledge in medical applications. The Laboratory where part of the PetVision Experimental development is going on, focuses on the detection of light with ultimate timing resolution in harsh environments of extreme irradiation and low temperatures.
