The PETVISION project was successfully presented at the international conference FTMI-TBPET-PSMR 2026, held from 11–14 May 2026 in Valencia, Spain. The conference brought together leading experts in fast timing medical imaging, total-body PET and advanced detector technologies.
Several PETVISION project partners presented their latest developments and research results:
- Carina Trippl (FBK) –
“TSV-enabled segmentation of FBK fast-timing SiPMs for 2.5D and 3D integrated ToF-PET modules” - David Mazzanti (ICCUB) –
“Approaching Sub-100 ps CTR in TOF-PET Scanners with FastIC+” - Noriel Pavon (I3M) –
“Initial development of a modular FPGA-based DAQ for the PeTVISION ultrafast PET system” - Rok Pestotnik (JSI) –
“Toward Total-Body Modular Flat-Panel TOF-PET Enabled by Sub-100 ps Timing”
The presentations generated significant interest and led to many stimulating discussions, new scientific contacts and promising ideas for future collaborations in advanced PET imaging technologies.
The PETVISION project also participated in MEDAMI 2026, taking place from 15–17 May 2026 in Valencia, Spain, and focused on improving accessibility of medical imaging technologies in low- and medium-income countries (LMICs).
At the workshop, Rok Pestotnik (JSI) presented “High-Performance Modular TOF-PET Imager as an Enabling Technology for Affordable Nuclear Medicine in LMICs”.
The presentation highlighted the PETVISION approach toward scalable, high-performance and cost-effective PET imaging systems aimed at improving global access to advanced nuclear medicine technologies.
We thank the organizers and participants of both events for the inspiring scientific exchange and look forward to future collaborations emerging from these discussions.
