The PetVision consortium warmly congratulates Michele Penna of Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) on the successful defence of his PhD thesis at Politecnico di Torino on September 2, 2025.

His research focused on advancing Silicon PhotoMultipliers (SiPMs), with special attention to timing performance in Time-of-Flight PET scanners. By exploring ways to optimize Single Photon Time Resolution (SPTR) and Coincidence Time Resolution (CTR), his work contributes directly to the development of next-generation imaging technologies with the potential to improve cancer detection and patient care.

We are proud to celebrate this achievement and the valuable contributions Michele has made to the PetVision project.
